VMA , Red Cross And Sandugo Awardee Blood Letting


VMA GLOBAL COLLEGE & TRAINING CENTERS, INC which was awarded, “Sandugo Award” by the Department of Health Region VI in Ilo- Ilo on July 30, 2019, and Red Cross for its 24 years of continuing support in Saving Lives, again held its Blood Letting Activity -Amlig Kabuhi Project on August 23, 2019 , Friday , 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at VMA Sports Gymnasium, in Earl Carrol St., Brgy. Sum -ag , Bacolod City.

In keeping with the Colleges’ exemplary support, commitment and active involvement to the Department of Health and Philippine Red Cross, every year, VMA holds its bloodletting activity – Amlig kabuhi ko project to maintain greater contribution in ensuring the adequacy of safe and quality blood supply.

VMA targeted 300 units of blood for the Philippine Red Cross on this year 2019 , but had contributed more than 25,000 units since 1995

VMA President, Dr. Elizabeth O. Salabas, said that this is the only mechanism by which we can achieve self-sufficiency of national blood supplies .

VMA Blood letting- Amlig Kabuhi ko project was initiated by the College Community Extension Services under the headship of Ms. Shirley Comeros with the support of VMA CAGERS, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, Rotary Club Metro Bacolod and other Volunteers. *PR OFFICER/CHIEF LIBRARIAN
