Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department

WELCOME TO THE INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

General Objectives

The ICT Department is mandated to apply preventive maintenance, repair and inventory of all electronic devices covered by the ICT Department. Ensure that all official institutional electronic data are collected, processed and securely stored. Provide a system of people, computers, procedures, and interactive query facilities, documents for collecting, storing, retrieving and transmitting information to the users.

Policies


Policy on Printing of Registration Form (Students Copy)
  • DUPLICATE COPY FOR ANY LAWFUL REQUIREMENTS:
    Student must present his/her original Registration Form (Students Copy) and receipt of the payment for the re-printing of the Registration Form (Students Copy).
  • RE-PRINTING DUE TO PROVEN NEGLIGENCE/LOSS:
    Student must provide a notarized affidavit of loss signed by the Discipline Officer and a receipt of the payment for the replacement of the Registration Form (Students Copy). A copy of the affidavit of loss will be turned-over to the ICT Department for documentary purposes.
  • RE-PRINTING DUE TO INCORRECT INFORMATION DURING ENROLLMENT:
    Student must endorse the 4 copies (College)/ 3 copies (High School) of Registration Form to the ICT Department and a new copy will be provided to the student.
  • RE-PRINTING DUE TO INCORRECT INFORMATION AFTER ENROLLMENT:
    Student must endorse his/her original Registration Form (Students Copy). A new copy will then be provided to the student.

Policy on Network Connections and Wifi
  • WIFI ACCESS FOR STUDENTS AND VISITORS:
    Students and visitors are provided with free Wi-Fi access to designated locations with Wi-Fi installed for their laptop only. In cases where the Wi-Fi has an authentication filter they must visit the ICT office for the authentication access. Additional security may be enforced by the ICT to further protect the users from foreign intrusion, malwares, virus and the like. Downloading of pirated contents such as software, videos, music and the like are prohibited. Porn sites are blocked to all users. ICT has the right to block/remove the user from accessing the network/internet if the user is abusing the free service.
  • WIFI ACCESS FOR FACULTY AND STAFF
    Faculty and Staff are provided with free Wi-Fi access to designated locations with Wi-Fi installed for their laptop and smartphone only. A maximum of two (2) concurrent sessions is allowed. In cases where the Wi-Fi has an authentication filter they must visit the ICT office for the authentication access. Additional security may be enforced by the ICT to further protect the users from foreign intrusion, malwares, virus and the like. Downloading of pirated contents such as software, videos, music and the like are prohibited. Porn sites are blocked to all users. Smart phones are also allowed for Wi-Fi access only at the designated locations. ICT has the right to block/remove the user from accessing the network/internet if the user is abusing the free service.
Policy on the use of the School Automation System
  • REQUEST FOR INSTITUTIONAL SYSTEM ACCESS AND PASSWORD RESET FOR FACULTY/STAFF:
    Faculty must request access to the ICT Personnel. Only the System Administrator is allowed to provide access to the faculty, in-case the System Administrator is not around the Contingency of the ICT Head will do the reset. The request is then logged by the System Administrator/Contingency in the Log Book.
  • REQUEST FOR INSTITUTIONAL SYSTEM PASSWORD RESET FOR STUDENT:
    The student must inform any of the ICT Staff if he/she would like to reset his/her password. The student must present his/her ID or provide the following details:
          a. Full Name
          b. Course
          c. Year and Section
          d. ID Number
