VMA Book Club Presents: "Celebrating the Power of Words" on November 28-29, 2023 The VMA Book Club is excited to unveil the festivities for National Book Week 2023, themed "READ, REREAD AND RELIVE." This two-day celebration, slated for November 28 and 29, promises an immersive experience for book enthusiasts of all ages. Day 1: Opening Salvo and Literary Enlightenment Date: November 28, 2023 The celebration begins with an opening salvo, focusing on the profound significance of books, featuring the timeless "Doctrina Christiana," the first-ever created book. The Library will host a literacy dissemination event, enlightening students and the community about the profound impact of reflecting on the Word of God, especially the Bible – the most famous and Holy book. In the afternoon, an exhibition of Korean Calligraphy obra maestra by the Senior High School Department, led by Mr. Rodney Bomban, Korean Language instructor, adds a cultural touch to the day. Day 2: Book Donation Drive and Literary Trends and Challenges Discussions Date: November 29, 2023 Collaborating with the Community Extension Development, Day 2 features a Book Donation Drive. Engage in enlightening talks and discussions about the literary trends and challenges specifically tailored for high school students by Dr. George Dela Cruz, Book Nook Coordinator. Younger readers can enjoy captivating story-telling sessions designed for elementary students at Brgym Sum - ag Gymnasium Joyous Surprises Await! The Library Book Club has curated joyous surprises, including exciting games with prizes and delectable snacks . This celebration of the written word aims to foster a love for reading and learning within our community. Join us as we immerse ourselves in the magic of books, celebrating not just the stories within their pages but the connections and knowledge they bring.
