VMA BRIDGING MECHANICAL TO MARINE ENGINEERING, BATCH 27 Recognition and Launching Ceremonies VMA GLOBAL COLLEGE AND TRAINING CENTERS recently held its 27th Recognition and Launching of Bridging Mechanical to Marine Engineering at VMA Gymnasium on July 3, 2023.
CHAIRMAN, ATTY. JUAN N. OROLA, JR., in his welcome address, extended his congratulations to the cadets for undergoing the Bridging program for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and acknowledged with appreciation the acceptance of parents for the career shift of their children who already are PRC Registered Mechanical Engineers.
He extended his grateful appreciation for the continuing scholarship support of K’ Line Maritime Academy with its affiliated manning companies, then recognized with thanks the participation of the Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary officials, supporting the sponsoring shipping companies.
PRESIDENT ELIZABETH SALABAS, COMMODORE PCGA, upon the endorsement of DEAN GILBERT JUESNA, affirmed the (12) cadets for Onboard Training to complete their Academic Requirements leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering.
CM MARVIN P. JAPITANA of VMA Batch’97 with honors and Wheelhouse Editor-in-Chief, now Evaluator of the Commission on Higher Education Maritime Industry Authority (CHED- MARINA), stood as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
CM Japitana stresses the foundation of learning comes from discipline, and commended the college for the continuing discipline and quality education towards global excellence which the cadets sailed through during their training at VMA.
CAPT. EDGARDO T. BARATANG, President of K- Line Maritime Academy Philippines, Inc., delivered an inspiring message, and AUX COMMO DANNYL YAP PCGA, Director Auxiliary Squadron 618th CGAS, led the Launching of the Cadets for On Board Training with representatives of shipping and manning companies and officials participated in the Launching Ceremonies of the Bridging Mechanical to Marine Engineering Program, CAPT.
