Five BS Tourism students of VMA GLOBAL COLLEGE & TRAINING CENTERS, INC. performed well as usherettes in a National Association of Independent Travel Agencies NAITAS, general assembly on July 28, 2017, Friday in Sugarland Hotel Bacolod.
Edselle Louise C. Grijaldo, Criselle Mae V . Villaranda, Chenea Mae D. Pacheco, Vanessa C. Torbeso and Mae Leonor E. Diaz, enjoyed the experience of helping participants and guests of an important event register and find their assigned seats, thereby making the flow of people smooth and orderly.
The President of VMA, Atty. John N. Orola, Jr., who is a key player of the Phil. Tourism Industry, was honored and proud to see VMA students doing well in their ushering tasks.*jgmacaranas

Bacolod Home Schooler's Network (BHSN) visits VMA Global College and Training Centers, Inc.(VMAGCTCI)
Bacolod Home Schooler's Network (BHSN) , an Association of Home Schooling Families, sent their students, parents and yayas to the campuses of VMA Global College and two ( 2)Training Centers, today, July 28, 2017, for a field trip.
Its main purpose is to have an experiential learning about the prestigious institutions, their educational programs and their significant roles in the Maritime Industry.
VMAGCTCI, with the assistant to the President, Mrs. Fannie Balenia Orola, Ms. Helen Juesna, the School Nurse and Jona Macaranas, VMA PRO, provided a warm welcome and kind assistance to the BHSN participants when they arrived in VMA Training Center, VMA Technical Educational and Skills Training Center, and VMA Main Campus. * jgmacaranas- PRO/ Librarian

Splendid real life application of knowledge learned
Senior hotel and restaurant students of VMA Global College fared well in real life display of their knowledge in banquet and catering management during their laboratory class held at VMA Oceania Bar on July 27, 2017.

With Ms. Fanny Orola Balenia, Assistant to the President as guest of honor, fifty-four (54) fourth year students of the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management course of VMA planned, organized and executed a fine dining experience to the last detail as partial compliance of the requirements of their college education.
Balenia congratulated and commended the students and their adviser, Class Instructor Edwin P. Benitez, for a job well done.
The students served an array of delicious dishes with stuffed bell pepper and onion rings as entrée, 8 treasure and cream of corn soup, seared tuna with garlic sauce and chicken cordon bleu as main dish served with moresquita and garlic rice, and mango float as dessert. * Jgmacaranas- PRO/Librarian 07-27-17

The entire VMA community is truly happy and proud of your splendid performance in Flair tending , Table Setting , Vegetable and Fruit Carving and Chefs War, during the three days Sabor Bisaya 2017 Trade Expo and Culinary competition, on July 19 to July 21, 2017, held in SMX Bacolod.
The challenges you faced during the competition is enormous but you confronted it with determination to succeed.

Eight Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) students of VMA Global College and Training Centers, Inc, excelled in the culinary and Chef War competitions held during the Sabor Bisaya 2017 Culinary and Trade Expo organized by the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Education of the Philippines (COHREP) and Hotel and Restaurant Association of Negros Occidental (HRANO) at SM SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, July 19-21, 2017.
BSHRM III students, Kenneth Villarma and Jhunnel Franciso, obtained Bronze Awards in Flair tending and then in Fruit and Vegetable Carving, respectively.
The team of Valerie Mae Muchuelas (BSHRM III), Eman Caro (BSHRM III) and Reymar Torato (BSHRM IV, got a Bronze Award in Table Setting with Floral Centerpiece,
While Jemark Belarmino (BSHRM III), Reymar Balboa (BSHRM IV), and Pearl Marie Sergio (BSHRM IV) were conferred diplomas for their participation in Chef’s War Competition.

Certified Secure Computer User Training and Certification

Five information technology employees of VMA Global College and Training Center's Inc., who joined in a Computer Training and Certification Sponsored by the Negros Island Region office of the Information and Communication Technology Department and an Association of Call Center operators of Negros Occidental, obtained high certification ratings.

Agustin Gumogda, Kemp Lumangyao, Ronald Cuer, Shadrock Villegas and Hubert Jay Lisas, all employed as the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program instructors and staff of VMAGTCI, participated in the EC Council's Certified Secure Computer User v2 Training on June 30 and July 1, 2017, that was capped by a certification examination, that is internationally recognized.

Mr. Hubert J. Lisas, Dean of BSIT , garnered a rating of 94% in the examination, while the four others obtained scores above 90%.

The splendid performance of the five VMAGTCI employees showcased the high quality education they are receiving from their Alma Mater.

The training and certification examination that followed were administered by the EC-Council USA, which is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, together with its local partner BNeFIT (Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology). *Jgmacaranas Please read More......
